It's shocking to me that when we all think of white cliffs, we immediately think of Dover. Beachy Head is SO underrated, and 90% of the time I tell people they should go there, they say they have never even heard of it. This is such an easy day trip from London (about an hour and a half drive) and one of the prettiest places I have ever seen. GO!!!!!!!
Because we are Americans and driving on the wrong side of the road with a stick shift is super scary (more for me than for Chad, aka the driver), we always rent a car from Heathrow Airport to avoid driving through Central London. The first stop on our journey is to that incredible viewpoint where you can see all of the cliffs from afar (well, first right after getting drive through McDonald's, to be totally honest). Once you get to Seaford, take Corsica Road as far as you can and then walk the dirt path to the best view of Beachy Head that there is to see. You can walk across the top of the cliffs all along Beachy Head Road, and you will find the lighthouse at the southeast point of that road. Now run, don't walk!
