Safari Series: Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest inactive volcanic caldera in the world!! And if you are like me and don't really know what that means...basically a humongous volcano was emptied and then collapsed there about three million years ago (give or take a million years). And now it is filled with animals! You can see all of the Big Five there, but since we had already seen everything else in the Serengeti, all we really wanted to find was a rhino.

^^I was really into those ostriches dancing in the distance.

^^So many wildebeests.

^^Aren't these guys weird?

^^A perk of traveling with friends means you can always get a family pic (even Julian is hiding in there)!

^^We stop for a pic, Godbless stops to practice yoga.

^^WE FOUND HIM.

^^THE HOLY GRAIL.

^^The sunsets in Tanzania do not suck.

And now, on to Zanzibar (the journey where I cried my eyes out watching a couple get engaged, confirming I MUST be pregnant)!
